Letterbomb's Z3 Romhacks Update
2023-11-20 00:00:00 - Letterbomb
Hello there! Allhallows Eve has been out for over a week now and Me, Zarby, Jeimuzu, Scawful, and Jared couldn't be happier with how many people enjoyed the hack! We still plan to update the hack more, but since Allhallows Eve isn't something I have to put total focus into anymore, I can sort of get back to some of my solo hacks that I was working on before Allhallow! As an example, I was working on a v1.01 update of 18 Hours Past and Interconnected Strongholds before Allhallow, which was mainly to fix up the bugs people found in those hacks.
Well, after Allhallow I realized I didn't just want to do a v1.01, but a v1.10 instead, which would add a lot of quality of life things the hack didn't have simply because it was made on a time limit. What sort of quality of life things? Well, let me show what I mean! 👀
The Legend of Zelda: 18 Hours Past v1.10 + Zelda: Interconnected Strongholds v1.10 (11/20/2023 Update):
So, one of the things that I learned after working on Allhallow is that it is actually pretty easy (but time consuming) to put an Overworld Map into the game. If you didn't know, I was the one who made the Overworld Map of Allhallow, which I'd say came out pretty good! It definitely was one of the things that I was iffy on about adding, but when we delayed the project that was actually one of the first things we did and I'm very glad I did it. That being said, now that I have experience again on adding in Overworld Maps, I wanted to do the same in these two hacks. I did not get the Overworld Map done for Interconnected however, so just enjoy the one I recently made for 18 Hours Past!

Pretty cool right? I added a lot of detail compared to the vanilla map simply because I had enough space to do so. I'd definitely say that this is one of my favorite Overworld Maps I've made so far, but it definitely doesn't beat the Allhallow Map lol. Now, this may be cool, but I actually have something even cooler to show.
For a while, Dungeon Maps have been really difficult to edit and most of the time hacks just simply do not use the Dungeon Maps because of that. Well, I'm glad to say that I actually figured out how to edit the Dungeon Maps, and I have added in all the maps for the Dungeons of the game! Here's two maps I have to show just to give an example of what I did. 👀

I also made these maps pretty accurate/detailed too compared to vanilla since I had a lot of space to do so, which is great! I'm very glad I got these in and these things that I added to the game are just some of the quality of life things I've added to the game!
Now as far as Interconnected goes, I haven't worked on it too much ever since it released but I do have an idea for one of the problems in the game. If you played the game before, you may know that the game has a bunch of optional rupee chests that you can get in the game, which can sometimes be misleading since the player may think they are progressing through the dungeon by going down the rupee chest path. Well, to fix that problem, I have a pretty neat solution I think people will appreciate.
Screenshots:
Basically, whenever there is an optional rupee room, I will place one of these rupee tiles to let them know that it's just there for optional rupees! Obviously, I did not have to do this, but I feel like it would be a cool thing to add so I did it anyways. I just don't know if I want to explain it somewhere in the game or not lol. Regardless though, that is all I really have so far for Interconnected since I do really want to get 18 Hours Past v1.10 done first. Hopefully once I do get it done I can add Overworld (and possibly Dungeon Maps) to Interconnected Strongholds. Until then though, this is all I really have to update people on regarding these hacks!
Until Next Time...
And, that'll be it for this update! This update was smaller, but hopefully cool to see. I definitely want to get back to working on the more substantial hacks I have but I do want to get 18 Hours Past and Interconnected v1.10 done before I do. So, I hope that you enjoyed this update and until then, I'll see you around until the next update! Later! 👋

The Legend of Zelda: Allhallows Eve (10/20/2023 Update):
This hack is a new Halloween Hack which we have been working on for about two months now, and we're hoping to get it out at the end of October. There has also been a ton of teasers for the hack posted over in Letterbomb's Z3 Romhacksother-hacks, so if you want to see more of the hack and even shots that weren't in the trailer I'd recommend taking a look! This hack is still in development as of now but it should be approaching completion very soon, so look forward to this hack and enjoy this new trailer for the game!Well, that was cool right? We really hope that you look forward to this hack. 🙂
Until Next Time...
Anyways, that'll be it for this update! It's an extremely short update but after this hack I should be posting around here more often! Until then, I hope that you guys enjoyed this update! Cya later! 👋
Welcome to ALTTPHacking.net!

I decided to start this website yesterday on an impulse. Right now I am building some basic infrastructure for posting in progress and completed hacks. I also plan to support user submitted content for ASM scripts, graphics, and other contributions eventually. For the time being however, ALTTPHacking.net will be closed for new users to post and primarily will serve as a hub of resources for ROM hackers interested in the game and looking to learn more. Hope you enjoy!
